      I don’t think there’s any one thing which will work for all cancers, at least not that’s currently in the pipeline. However, I do think that there’s a lot of promising treatment options being developed at the moment for various types of cancer and I’m excited to see what else we can come up with!

      As Aimee said, it is unlikely that there will be a universal treatment for all types of cancer but scientists are making very good progress to diagnose and cure cancer.

      Like the others said, there will probably never be a magic ‘cure all’ for cancer as each type of cancer is different. In addition to this, different people will react in different ways to treatments. This is often due to their genetic makeup- certain genes can make the cancer drugs more or less effective. There was a very interesting case (sadly I can’t remember enough about it to find the full details) where a drug only worked on people of a specific ethnic background, due to their genetic makeup. There are some cancer researchers who look at the genetic profile of the patient and recommend treatment based on that.
