• Question: if you could be any scientist you wanted to be for a day who would you be and why? (it could be a scientist who is dead now)

      I think I’d want to be Omid C. Farokhzad or someone in their group. They are looking into a type of cancer treatment which actively targets only cancer cells.

      The issue with things like Chemotherapy and radiotherapy which are currently widely used cancer treatment methods is that they aren’t able to tell healthy cells from cancerous ones, so they start to kill them all and make you really unwell. If we can find a way to tell our treatments which cells to kill then we are able to stop people getting as sick from the treatment!
