• Question: If you could go back in time and STOP an invention/ discovery, what would it be?

      Maybe the steam engine or the internal combustion engine? If we had prioritised renewables sources of energy, or public transport over cars we might be in a better place to tackle global carbon emissions.

      I think Plastics would be a good area to undiscover. Yes it moved technology along and became a super useful material but as we are all aware now, the impact of all the waste that does not rot away is a major problem now.

      Atomic/nuclear bombs – it’s a double edged sword and there’s really no point in us ever having gotten them.

      I agree with Aimee, I would stop the Atomic/nuclear bombs. We need peace in the world and not war!

      That’s a hard question because many useful things have come from inventions that we would see as bad. The atomic bomb is a good example of something that I would want to get rid of, however the science behind it gave us nuclear power which is a clean way of making energy.

      I would stop the ‘discovery’ that vaccines cause autism, because it has caused parents to stop vaccinating their children and led to a rise in entirely preventable diseases
