      For me it is Stephen Hawking. Even if he had terrible health problems and needed a machine to communicate, he was an amazing scientist! We miss him now!

      I’m not sure that I have an icon, although there are plenty of scientists who I admire. I have always had good bosses who inspire me to work hard, who value my input and who are very good teachers. Working with them has made me a better researcher and I make a conscious effort to try to be more like them in my attitudes to research, teaching and with my colleagues.
