I think one of the most useful parts of having a science degree is it is very transferable. You learn skills during your time at university that mean I could stop being a scientist and move into other jobs.

I don’t plan to! If I decide to stop working in a lab I would still like to do something science related. As William says, you learn a lot of skills in a science degree that can be transfered to other things. For example, science involves a lot of problem solving and teamwork which is a skill lots of companies would want.
