      Nope!

One of my professors in France got us to memorise it for an exam (needless to say we didn’t do very well).

I always have one next to my computer and next to the place I work at in my lab so there is no need to memorise it.

Having said that, over the years I have accidentally learnt the mass of the elements I use every day to 3/4 decimal places.

I know up to about Indium because we had to learn it for one of my final year classes. Which was silly because I always have one in front of me at work, now.

I learned it from ASAPScience’s periodic table song – give it a listen if you’re interested!

No. I can recite it down to about Calcium before the transition metals start to throw me off.

You learn some more comment elements off by heart which you use everyday but some are very rare and specialised and I never come into contact with them so tend to forget where they sit.
