Yes, I do travel a lot. I go abroad at least once a month. Last year I went to Portugal, Spain, Germany, Italy, China, Vietnam and France. I travel to attend conferences, to give lectures, to collect material for my research…

I don’t travel a lot, no. But I have gone to a couple of places in the UK for training courses or the odd conference! Once I get higher up in my job I am more likely to get to visit further afield to meet with other scientists and discuss the work we’re doing.

I do travel a lot and it is a lot of fun. I have travelled to both sides of the USA, in mainland Europe and was supposed to visit Japan before it was cancelled. It is a mixture of conferences, customer visits and meetings which take us all over the world.
