This is a very interesting question! I think we will be using more and more robots to help us.

      Hi!

Current hot topics in scientific research
incluse using chemistry to help combat the effects of climate change and making processes more efficient to reduce waste/carbon footprint. I really hope that we see major development in these areas.

One of the most exciting areas of science for me is medicinal chemistry and the biochemistry that helps us design new drugs (medicines), like the new medicine just approved for patients with cystic fibrosis. Scientists are getting better and better at understanding the human body – I think we might have more personalized medicine in the future.

Very interesting question. Honestly I am not sure but I know when I was your age, things we take for granted now were still being developed, such as touch screen technology and Wifi. I think what’s really interesting that if you do follow a career in science, you will most likely be working on technologies that do not exist now and there is only your imagination holding you back.

Oh wow – this is such a good question! My answer is that it’s almost impossible to predict! When you consider how many scientific discoveries have happened by accident (like penicillin) or have initially been laughed at but turned out to be key findings (Like the earth being spherical) it’s really hard to decipher what will and won’t be the next huge finding in science!
