I was in a very small village primary school where the focus was more on enjoying learning. This set me up really well to love learning and be curious so I think my teachers did a great job!
It would have been good if someone had noticed that I was dyslexic however. I struggled with writing and spelling and used to get quite upset about it. A lot of that could have been avoided with some extra help. I think people are better at identifying these problems now though.

I think they made me very curious to learn and discover new things and that’s probably why I ended up being a scientist.

My primary school was great! They really encouraged us to ask questions and keep learning outside of the classroom!
