• Question: is your line of work well paid? or do you rely on prize money.

      If you are asking about my salary, I would say that it is enough money for me to live in Oxford even if it is a very expensive city where to live. I obviously would like to get paid more but I think it is the same for everyone! 😉
      If you are asking about the funding to do my work, the university of Oxford is obviously supporting my research but we also often apply for grants to get extra funding to do the work. The government is helping a lot researchers with funding (not only in my field of research).

    I would say my salary is fair and is enough to live on in Manchester. Of course, more is always better but I think doing a job you enjoy out ways the money you receive. I would rather do a job I like for my salary instead of a job I didn’t enjoy for double my salary.
