Science is really just a way of looking at and understanding the world around you. You can look at a problem like a tree having fallen over the path you want to take and say “huh, that’s weird” and walk around it – that’s not science.

On the other hand you can look at it and say “Huh, I wonder why that happened”, and start to look into it. Look at what is around it which may have caused it, come up with your ideas, see if other evidence or experimentation supports that idea. If it does – well done, you solved it. If it doesn’t – go back and find something which does fit with the evidence! That process is known as the “scientific method” and it can be applied in all sorts of ways!

Like Aimee said, for me it is understanding the world around us!

I agree completely with Aimee! Science is about being curious.
