      My favourite crystal tends to be which ever new one that I make that I can study with x-rays!

      I make a lot of Crystals at work and they are all brown or yellow or white so definitely not those!

      I do like the colour of these Chromium compound crystals!

      I work with zirconia and this can be turned into cubic zirconia or more commonly known as artificial diamond. Can you tell the difference?

      I absolutely love opals. They’re a form of hydrated amorphous silica (which is what my enzyme can make) and I’ve spent a long time wondering whether I could enzymatically synthesise one for myself! (I haven’t worked out how to yet sadly)
