• Question: When was it that you were certain of what you wanted to do for a living? What different factors did you have to think about in order to determine the occupation you wanted to do?

      Hmm.. this is a tricky one. I wanted to be a teacher for the longest time, but I think around 13 – when I started doing chemistry rather than just science – I knew I wanted to do Chemistry forever and ever. In terms of getting into my current job, that just sort of happened once I finished university. My only real consideration was whether it would help me get to my long term goal of doing cancer research, and how far from where I live it was! For a while I was commuting 4hr per day to get to and from work!
