I hate to be that guy – but technically water isn’t wet!

Things which are coated in water are wet and water cannot coat itself, so it cannot be wet!

Water isn’t wet by itself, but it makes other materials wet when it sticks to the surface of them.Water does not stick to all materials. Some are hydrophobic and the water will just run on them.
